Six years ago, Robert & crew did a tear down/remodel of my kitchen, which I was very pleased with. Saturday, the kitchen sink that was installed as part of that remodel failed. Since it’d been 6 years, I wasn’t sure Robert would remember the job or fix the issue, but I didn’t need to worry. He sent someone out the very next business day. Apparently they don’t mount under-mount sinks the way mine was mounted any more. Tim quickly figured out a retro-fit solution and we were back in business. The scope of work on my project was a complete tear-down and re-build of a kitchen. It involved a new vent-hood to the outside, piping in gas, new electrical, and plumbing… plus all new cabinets, appliances, light fixtures, and so forth.
I interviewed, and obtained bids from, several contractors. I won’t bury the lead: Robert has an eye for detail and he and his crew are efficient professionals, who deliver high-quality work. He took full responsibility for his subs, and the project came together seamlessly.
Robert earned my business from the start by:
– Being responsive. Emails, phone calls, texts– Robert is on the ball with communication.
– Showing up on time. Every time.
– Having a great vision. Robert listens to your needs and offers up suggestions along the way. This helped me think through how I wanted my project to shape up and came by my house several times throughout the bid process to rethink/requote/retool my bid.
– Ongoing communication. He made thoughtful suggestions about how best to stage the work-site. Gave me a rough (but accurate) idea of what the timeline of the project would be. Then, met with me weekly to discuss progress and work any necessary changes into the mix.My project progressed on time, all the way through to the end. The crew was enthusiastic, friendly, and genuinely seem to like each other & their jobs. The work site was left clean and safe every day. Effective venting and dust barriers minimized the impact to the rest of the living space. When original fir was found under the linoleum we’d agreed to demo? Robert called a halt to the work and helped me think through how best to proceed (keep it, obviously!). A new wall was not to Robert’s standard– so he had his guy tear it out and re-work it. Just a few examples of why I’d not hesitate to use Envision again, and have already recommended them to several friends.

So many businesses say they stand behind their work, but too few actually do. Envision Homes does! Recently a floor board cracked in our almost 100-year old home, which was remodeled top-to-bottom 5 years ago by Envision Homes. At the time, we decided to leave the floor intact, so Envision Homes didn’t remove or replace the wood floor, so when a floor board cracked…I just reached out to the owner, Robert Burns, for recommendations for a flooring expert. Instead of just giving me a name, Robert fixed the problem! Tim Maciasz, his manager and site supervisor, made time right away to inspect the floor. Just a day or so later, he came by and fixed it…incredibly quickly and so well that I can’t even tell there had been a problem in the first place. These guys are priceless!

Envision Homes did an AMAZING job on the major remodel of my home. Robert and his crew raised the house, re-poured the foundation, rebuilt the walls (moving quite a few to create great storage and more living space!), updated the gas/electric/plumbing, and re-sided and painted everything. They made what could easily have been a miserable experience an absolutely wonderful one!
Robert’s attention to detail is incredible, and I think he was even more particular than I was about making everything perfect. And he has an incredible eye! He made a lot of very good suggestions for changes to our original plan – all of which have made our house even more special. He was also right on budget, which was a huge feat in an of itself on such a big job. He worked really well with our architect (Josh at International Architecture), the inspectors, the subs, the bank and (of course) us. Also, when he says he stands behind his work, you can absolutely believe it. We had some trouble with tile around the fireplace, and Robert replaced it (at no cost to us) and worked with the supplier until we were happy. …

The remodel looks fantastic. The crew was on-time and kept the work site tidy.
